Upper Elkhorn NRD Awards 2017 Senior Scholarships

     Each year the Upper Elkhorn NRD awards three scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the district.  These are students who have chosen to pursue a career in a field related to agriculture, natural resources or the environment.  This year’s recipients are Jake Judge of West Holt High School; Tyler Masat of Plainview High School; Trisha Fox of Stuart High School; and, alternate Tyler Regan of O’Neill High School.  Jake is the son of Kevin and Tammie Judge and is planning a career in Agricultural Engineering while attending UNL.  Tyler, the son of Kevin and Krista Masat, has chosen a career related to Mechanized Agriculture at NECC.  And, Trisha the daughter of Jill and Kent Fox is planning a career in the field of Veterinary Technology at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.  The alternate, Tyler Regan, son of Bob and Julie, is planning to study Agribusiness at either Morningside College or the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. 

     Scholarship winners will receive a scholarship in the amount of $500 to help defer costs during their first year of College.  The Upper Elkhorn NRD would like to congratulate the 2017 Senior Scholarship Winners and wish them good luck in achieving their future goals.
